
Dr. Dan Cassidy, DDS, a native of Northern Virginia, is a graduate of James Madison University, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University.
Since graduating from dental school in 1998, Dr. Cassidy has been dedicated to Continuing Education, taking advanced courses in Cosmetic Dentistry, Endodontics (Root Canals), Orthodontic courses with the United States Dental Institute, and Dental Implant courses with the 3i Synergy mini residency. Through his dedication to Continuing Education, Dr. Cassidy is able to utilize the latest and most up-to-date information to help his patients make informed decisions regarding their oral health care. His goal is to provide the best care at the highest standards.
Dr. Cassidy has served as a part time clinical faculty member at the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry. Dr. Cassidy is a member of the American Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Alexandria Dental Society. Dr. Cassidy is working towards his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Cassidy is currently the Vice President of the Alexandria Dental Society and serves on the Young Alumni Council of Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Dentistry. Recently, Dr. Cassidy was listed in the Washingtonian Magazine (PDF) as one of the best dentists in the area.
Dr. Cassidy met his wife Jenny, who is a dental hygienist, while they were both attending dental school at MCV. They live with their daughter Madeline in the area. While in dental school, Dr. Cassidy volunteered as a dental assistant at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic in Annandale. Today his volunteer work continues; both Dr. Cassidy and Jenny are regular volunteers providing hours of dental services at the clinic. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Cassidy enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and travel.
